The Speziale wine company

The wines of the Speziale winery are produced from grapes grown in the territory of Crispiano, on the hills of the Taranto Murgia at 280 above sea level.

Speziale firmly believes in the native Apulian vines that are able to characterize the territory and consequently cultivate only the Aleatico, Primitivo, Aglianico, Susumaniello vines for the production of full-bodied red wines of quality suitable for aging and Fiano Minutolo as well as Wild Moscatello for the White wines.

The Speziale wine company is part of that group of companies that the French define as producers of the so-called Vins de Garage.

Our vineyards

Our vineyards are rigorously cultivated with high espalier plants, with the arid-culture method, they have a high plant density to guarantee a high quality of the grapes.

These vines are well adapted to the arid hot climate of Apulia and they are able to enhance the great potential of this region in the production of high quality red wines.

The selected grapes are harvested manually

while in the cellar the crushing and destemming operation takes place.

Our productions

The company produces several lines of wines, some of which are characterized by younger, fresher and fruity wines that are able to give pleasure to the palate. The others are characterized by wines aged in barrels and barriques, followed by bottle aging where all the true aromatic complexity, intense red color and high alcohol content are enhanced.
